Four tiers. Free stays free for individuals and personal projects. Solo is free while Grid is in the alpha; Crew and Fleet open later, and Crew's price is published when it opens. Fleet is sold by conversation. Most of what the paid tiers unlock (sync, seats, integrations) still arrives with the public beta; see the PLANNED note below.
Solo is free while Grid is in the alpha; Crew and Fleet's prices are published when they open. In the alpha everyone holds the alpha-free plan, with or without an account. An account matters for devices, the phone, sync or a paid plan.

Personal projects are free with no time limit. Paid work is free for 60 days, after which one person needs Solo and an organisation needs Crew. The evaluation ending never deletes anything: the plan reverts to Free and the boards stay readable.
Grid Console is sold from the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce KVK 98009028, printed on every invoice. Paddle is the merchant of record for paid plans and paid plugins: it takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles VAT. EU consumers see VAT-inclusive prices at checkout; businesses are billed ex VAT and can enter a VAT number for reverse charge. Paddle is wired up, but nothing is on sale while the alpha runs. 30 days on any plan, monthly or annual, and on paid plugins, no reason needed. After 30 days, cancel any time and the plan runs to the end of the paid period. Billing mistakes are refunded in full, always. Refunds go through Paddle and land on the original payment method. The full policy is at /legal/refunds.
Free and the alpha plan have no device limit. Solo allows three devices; Crew and Fleet have no cap, with remote sign-out per device from the Licence sheet. The self-hosting chapter has the licence check step by step.
Model access. Grid does not resell it: you bring your own agent provider and pay them directly, which today means Claude Code, Codex CLI or, unstable, GitHub Copilot CLI. A workspace can register more than one login under Settings › Accounts, so a card can be billed to a second subscription, and a project can spawn across a pool of them; which subscription pays is your arrangement with the provider either way. A third party can write a plugin for any other CLI; Grid has no Ollama plugin bundled today. That is why Insights exists, so you can see what those sessions cost you. Today it can only price Claude Code's own transcripts: Codex and Copilot sessions run and show no cost.
