How every stage behaves, set once for the workspace and overridden only where a card type or a project differs. The rules below are planned; the controls that decide the same things today follow them.
Arrives with the public beta. Stage rules, human approval as Never, Always or Automatic, per-type and per-project overrides, stage notes and card rules. None of it is built yet.
For each of Prepare, Doing, Review, Deliver and Verify: where the work happens, whether you approve, what the agent checks before it hands over, how work lands and deploys, and what counts as verified. Each rule will read as a line of plain text, changed in a window that explains every option.
For the plan and for the diff: Never, Always, or Automatic. Automatic will let the agent approve routine work and ask you when it touches what you listed: a migration, a new dependency, security, production, or a wider scope than planned.
Tabs per card type will show only what differs from all cards, and stages a type skips will read as skipped. Each project page will list the same rules as text, with an override per row. Stage notes will add a line to that stage agent's prompt.
Which sections a card carries, in which stage each is first written, and whether it is written once, updated every stage or kept live. The sections Grid reads to move a card on will be locked; everything else can be hidden, reordered or added to.
| WHAT | WHERE IT IS SET NOW |
|---|---|
| Who may approve | Settings › SDLC, STAGE APPROVERS: the roles allowed to move a card out of Prepare or Review. |
| Plan approval | A card type can be plan pre-approved (Chore ships that way), and the capture sheet's OVERRIDES carry Skip plan approval for one card. |
| Diff approval | Skip human review in the capture sheet's OVERRIDES, for one card. Findings, open questions and delivery checks still hold it. Adversarial review is switched per difficulty; see models. |
| How a type asks | Settings › SDLC, CARD TYPES: the stages each type walks, and whether it asks (ask: real, ask: always, ask: never). |
| Where work happens, how it lands | The project's ISOLATION and LANDS, overridable for one card at capture. See worktrees and workspaces. |
| Sections a card carries | Fixed for the workspace by the workflow and the engine, and shown read-only on the Agents tab; GRID ALSO REQUIRES there switches the extra sections on or off. Nothing is overridden per type or per project. See cards. |
| An agent's prompt | The Agents tab, with a variant per card type. |
